Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in TV bodybuilding drama ‘Pump’
Arnold Schwarzenegger is developing a new TV drama series about the bodybuilding industry.
Pump is set in 1970s California and, if ordered to series, would see Schwarzenegger appear in a recurring role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a lawman defending his small border town in ‘The Last Stand’.
A pilot episode – written by Michael Konyves (Barney’s Version) – is currently in development at cable network Showtime. Schwarzenegger originally rose to fame as a professional bodybuilder following his appearance in 1977 film Pumping Iron.
The 65-year-old star has recently returned to acting after a stint as Governor of California, appearing in 2012’s The Expendables 2 and 2013’s The Last Stand. His upcoming projects include prison break drama Escape Plan opposite Sylvester Stallone and action thriller Sabotage – formerly known as Ten.
